What is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive procedure that is effective in minimizing fine lines, age spots, and acne scarring. A gentle vacuum action stimulates blood flow, cleans the pores of any oil or dirt and lifts the surface of the skin. Meanwhile dead skin cells are suctioned away from the skin creating a smoother, healthier appearing skin.

The stimulation of blood flow to the skin's surface encourages collagen formation, thus firming and toning the epidermis as well. Patients see a noticeable skin improvement after the first treatment with little to no down time.

A series of treatments are recommended to achieve optimal results. Maintenance treatments every 4 weeks are ideal to help keep the skin looking its best.

How to prepare for treatment

We request that you arrive with a clean, make-up free face to help minimize the risk of infection due to bacteria on the face.

Drink plenty of water to help your skin recover.

Avoid excess sun exposure a week before your appointment. Sun damage could compromise your skin and make the treatment painful.

Do not use Retin-A/Retinol 3-5 days prior to treatment as this can thin your skin and compromise your treatment.

Please speak with your medical provider before stopping any medication.
