Automated micro-needling is an innovation in aesthetic medicine for the treatment of the appearance of fine lines, acne scars and the improvement of the skin’s texture, tone and color. The skin’s repair process helps to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and enhance skin elasticity.
How to prepare
We request that you arrive with a clean, make-up free face to help minimize the risk of infection due to bacteria on the face.
Drink plenty of water to help your skin recover.
Avoid excess sun exposure a week before your appointment. Sun damage could compromise your skin and make the treatment painful.
Do not use Retin-A/Retinol 3-7 days prior to treatment as this can thin your skin and compromise your treatment.
Please speak with your medical provider before stopping any medication.
Treatment is not recommended if you have been on Accutane within the last 6 months.
If you are currently pregnant or nursing, do not have this treatment.
Please consult with your medical provider before stopping prescription aspirin or blood thinners. Clients prone to cold sores or fever blisters should consult with their medical provider for prophylactic treatment.
The most common reported side effects are the following:
Flaking of the skin
As with all skin procedures involving needles, there is a risk of infection
Bleeding is an uncommon side effect
Increased collagen production
Immediately diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
Creates healthier more radiant appearance
Minimizes scars from acne and stretch marks
